Regardless—and this is the may be the most important thing when you write a science fiction novel series—you’re only writing (and your readers are only reading) one book at a time. If the series itself maps a whole storyline, then each installment, each new book, is a stop on the journey.Good writing is always about something. Write the argument of your book in a sentence, then stretch that out to a paragraph, and then to a one-page outline. After that, write a table of contents to help guide you as you write, then break each chapter into a few sections. Think of your book in terms of beginning, middle, and end.
I would've preferred to write a review after a few more chapters but I don't know if I'll remember to even write reviews if I don't do it now so here I go. It's a very short opinion. I might be spoiling the novel. I don't know and if you really don't want any spoilers at all then don't read that's all there is to it.
